Morning:

Pick up at AsiaTravel Office No 79 Nguyen Trai Street, Ha Giang City

Transfer to Nam Dam village, Quan Ba District (by public transportation/motobike/private care upon request and price)

Noon: Arrive in Nam Dam village, have lunch with a local family

Afternoon:

2:00pm: Accompanied by your local guide, you hike up to Truc Son village which is located 1.5 km away.

Truc Son is the brother village of Nam Dam village and used to be inhabited by Dao people in Nam Dam village before the 1990s. After a large fire that burned down most of the houses in Truc Son, a majority of Dao people moved down to Nam Dam valley to settle down, taking advantage of favorable nature and water resources in this valley for farming and living; a part of Dao people continued to stay in Truc Son to rebuild their homes and lives. Since then, the Dao communities in two villages are united to create intimate relationships as brothers.

Along the way, you'll have chance to see beautiful rural setting of the stone plateau surrounded by high mountains, terraced fields, hays, ..., and observe daily life of local people. In Truc Son, you will visit the ancient house of over 200 years old that is the only one surviving through the large fires and remains intact until today, you can learn more about  the traditional architectural character of the Dao house.

After visiting Truc Son village, you will continue your journey through the villages of Mong people in Ban Ho village, the villages of high Hoang Lan, low Hoang Lan. This is a fairly challenging journey through rugged hills and mountains, along the small roads that can be slippery in wet weather. Along the way, you can enjoy the unique natural surroundings and interact with ethnic minorities to learn more about the lives of the people in this remote area.

Coming to Quyet Tien commune, you can visit the Binh Minh Herbal Medicine Production Cooperative which plant and produce a variety of herbal medicines. Quan Ba district is a good place for herbal medicine production thanks to its suitable conditions of land and climate. Those are  interested in geology can visit Thach Son Than rock group which is a unique natural heritage of Dong Van Plateau, including seven columns of limestone standing in a strange stance. This rock group was formed about 400 million years ago at the bottom of the sea, over millions of years of tectonic movement remains until this day.

After the journey, you return to Ha Giang city by car/motorbike or continue your trip to other destinations
