A Hmong Palace built with French consent at the beginning of the twentieth century, is located at Sa Phin, 16kms west of Dong Van town
Ha Giang's provincial museum is mostly devoted to the area's rich ethnic minority cultures. There are displays of the different costumes of the various tribes. There isn't much other historical or other information. The museum is a worthwhile short stop as it's close by where you'll need to obtain your Ha Giang travel permit

Sa Phin Market is one of the highlights of the backward fairs in rocky land of Ha Giang. The market is located in Sa Phin Commune, Dong Van District, about 40km from Dong Van town, just below the road leading to the mansion of the Vuong. Sa Phin is also referred to as "Heaven Gate" of the rocky plateau.
